I’m excited to say, that its “that time of year again” and please find below the link to register for this year’s Conference & AGM, which is free to attend. I would very much appreciate it, if you could please share this link / email with your networks and members, as we want as many people as possible to have the opportunity to join us on the 12th November.
We would love it if you could join us for our annual event, where you can find out more about what the LEP has been doing, meet our new CEO and hear about the latest business support available in our area. This is a free event and a great chance to meet with a wide network of people & organisations who are passionate about the area and about helping to support business. We usually get around 300 people joining us on the day, so it really is a super networking opportunity.
The event is aimed at the private, public, education and third sectors, and will include an update on the economic issues for our area and a look at what is planned for the future. This year, the focus will be around the implementation of the Action Plan for the area’s Productivity Strategy.
We are expecting that demand will be high and recommend that you reserve your place early. Please click on the link, to book your place at the Conference & AGM and to register for your preferred break-out seminar sessions
The morning session will include an opportunity for business owner’s to hear directly from support schemes about the funded and part-funded business support that is available to them, including the support available around digital technology. Publicly funded business support providers will be available to talk with you on the day and businesses / enterprises of all sizes and operating in all sectors are invited to attend.
The morning is being co-ordinated by the HotSW Growth Hub, the LEP’s main mechanism for engaging with businesses throughout Devon, Plymouth, Somerset and Torbay https://www.heartofswgrowthhub.co.uk/
You can choose to stay for the whole day, or just attend the morning or afternoon session.
The afternoon session will include the LEP’s annual update on what we have been doing and we will be sharing the exciting plans for the future, which are being developed across the wider partnership. For many people this will be the first chance to meet with our new CEO David Ralph and he is looking forward to speaking with as many of you as he can on the day.
This year, the focus will be around the implementation of the Action Plan for the area’s Productivity Strategy and how this will link with the work to develop the recently announced Local Industrial Strategy. Plus, you will be able to attend one of three sessions being run by the LEP’s three Leadership Groups (People, Place and Business) – more about this on the booking form.
We are also hoping to be joined by some experts about BREXIT and as soon as this is confirmed, we will share this with you.
