Youth Work Team Vacancies

Somerset Rural Youth Project is recruiting a number of staff to join the organisation’s Youth Work Team working across the whole of Somerset.

The Youth Work Team will improve young people’s lives through the delivery of an exciting and innovative, open access, youth work programme.  The Youth Work Team will deliver mobile and centre based youth work, school holiday activity days, after-school activities and a training and support programme for volunteers.

PROJECT LEADER – One post – 37 hours per week, £26,975 pa

 ASSISTANT YOUTH WORKERS – One post – 15 hours per week, £17,696 pa (pro rata)

SRYP’s Rural Music Network (RMN) Project needs a Youth Worker who will plan and deliver 10-week Community Music Making programmes and recruit and deliver one-to-one sessions in the Rural Music Network Academy. The RMN Youth Worker will deliver community sessions in 6 communities across the whole county of Somerset.

YOUTH WORKER – 20 hours per week – £20,591 pa (pro rata)

Our Green Activities Programme is looking for a Youth Worker to develop confidence, resilience and aspiration through building environmental and conservation skills with young people.

YOUTH WORKER – 15 – 22 hours per week – £20,591 pa (pro rata)

Appropriate recognised Youth Work Qualifications are required. All posts are subject to enhanced DBS clearance.

The posts involve working in a variety of youth work settings (centre based, mobile & detached work) and will include evening and weekend working, with Terms & Conditions which reflect this.

SRYP promotes the professional development of all its staff and applicants in-training for an appropriate qualification will be considered for this post.
