Awards finalists Reverberate PR

Local PR firm are finalists in CIPR Excellence awards 2012

 

Blackdown Hills-based PR firm, Reverberate PR, has been announced as a finalist in the hotly-contested ‘Outstanding Small Consultancy’ category of the 2012 CIPR Excellence Awards.

 

The awards are organised by the Chartered Institute of Public Relations and are the most prestigious and competitive awards for the public relations industry. Judges were impressed with the rapid, recent growth of the business, based in Smeatharpe near Honiton, and by its commitment to staff development and community and charity work.

 

Reverberate, run by husband and wife team Philip and Melanie Gibson, specialises in providing PR, writing, design and photography services to the agriculture and food supply chain. The business works with a wide portfolio of national and international clients and in the last twelve months has increased turnover by 88%, as well as doubling staff numbers from two to four.  

 

Sally Sykes FCIPR, President of the CIPR, said: “The competition wasfiercerthan ever, producing exceptionally high quality entries – which are particularly impressive considering the economic challenges we continue to face.”

 

Philip Gibson, Managing Director of Reverberate, said: “I am very proud that the hard work of our team has been recognised by the CIPR judges - it’s a huge achievement to be a finalist against such tough competition”.

 

The Reverberate team attended the black tie dinner for around 800 guests, rubbing shoulders with British Olympic Medallist Colin Jackson CBE, who was compère for the evening, along with other VIPs from the world of sports and athletics including Sharron Davies MBE, Mark Foster and Adrian Moorhouse OBE.
